The guy that designed the rescue module was a NASA Engineer?

The Drill was made by Schramm Inc.  from Pennsylvania.

The Drill Bits were made by Center Rock, Inc.  located in Berlin, Pennsylvania.

The lead driller Jeff Hart and his team are from Denver, Colorado.  They are on loan from the US Military in Afghanistan where they are drilling water wells for our Forward Operating Bases. 

He spent the next 33 days on his feet, operating the drill that finally provided a way out Saturday for 33 trapped miners.  "You have to feel through your feet what the drill is doing; it's a vibration you get so that you know what's happening," explained Hart.

Hart called it the most difficult hole they had ever drilled, because of the lives at stake.

"If you're drilling for oil and you lose the hole, it's different.  This time there's people down below," Stefanic said.

"

Miners' relatives crowded around Hart on Saturday, hugging and posing for pictures with him as he walked down from the rescue operation into the tent camp where families had anxiously followed his work.

In a different day and age, Jeff Hart would be the most famous American in our country right now.  He would be honored at the White House.  Schoolchildren would learn of his skill and heroism.  But because Jeff Hart works in an industry currently being demonized by Obama, very few will hear of this... 

November is only a start. Remember that it took Reagan to 18 months to undo what that buck toothed jackass Carter did to this country. Obama has been deliberate about DESTROYING the moral, financial and free-market infrastructure in this country. Aided and abetted by a a Democrat congress for TWO YEARS. 

Fellow Tea Partiers! We don't stop in November. We stay on the "Ruling Class" until they, including all the bureaucrats in D.C. and every state capital undestand: THEY'RE DONE. FOREVER. (Unless they'd like to emigrate to Russia, Mexico, Spain or the frickin' Middle East.)

A friend of mine recently met a guy through an online dating-service, and it got me thinking. Why should she have to pay for something that others are able to get for free? It seems completely unfair. To remedy this terrible injustice, I propose that the government go into the matchmaking business. That’s right, I think it’s time for O’harmony.

Of course, there will be significant departures from the way online dating works now, all in the name of equality. There will be no photographs, for one can’t allow special treatment due to an accident of genetics.  Nor will there be written communications, lest you judge someone on their spelling. It’s not their fault they didn’t have the advantage of an ivy-league education, but they still need love, you know. No, you will tell the great and powerful Love Czar what you’re looking for, and he’ll see what he can do.

Then comes the waiting list. It’s likely that your hamlet isn’t overflowing with eligible members of the opposite sex, or you would have found one already (of course, O'harmony 2.0 will make such free-market matrimony illegal…

"Someday my prince will come, somedayyyyzzzzzzzzz"

…but that is a story for another day). Be prepared to wait a good deal of time for one of these eligible specimens to become available in your area. If you have, by that time, settled into spinsterhood, that is simply too bad. You’ve missed out on your chance, and will just have to deal with that. 

Worry not, my single friends, Obama has thought of everything! O’harmony is hard at work on their patented exchange program. In this program, towns with too many men may trade their surplus to towns with too few and vice-versa. Easy peasy! You will have no say in being sent to a delightful village wherein everyone is related or a town of thugs, but you will be matched up with a government-sanctioned partner. Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth, you chose to look for love, and the government will provide!

 
If you find yourself wondering, during this process, how Obama found the gumption to interfere with such personal matters? Where were you when congress voted on health care? Is who you date really more personal than your medical care? More important than life or death? If those decisions are best left to government employees, who are we to decide with whom we spent the rest of our lives?

Oh and, in case you were wondering about that guy my friend met, he turned out to be a dud. But, hey, that’s the luck of the draw. What are you, some kind of dudist dudaphobe?

Betty Talbert: Easter's boundless grace

Story Highlights

When the weight of all sin past, present and future was placed upon Christ at crucifixion, it died with Him.

Anger and frustration have been a sour prelude to this year's Easter celebrations. Many are not used to seeing their government with such clarity. Its sins are laid bare: backroom deals; some states, and politicians, receive more equal treatment than others; the rule of law is skirted, and there is blatant denial of the impact of debt on the government coffers. It is as if the lid to Pandora's box has been ripped off only for state and federal politicians to revel in their financial corruption. Life is hard and progressively so as endemic failures like these impact so many in our country.
In light of these things, this Easter, the wisdom of Psalm 146:3-4 comes to mind, "Put not your trust in princes, in mortal men, who cannot save. When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; on that very day their plans come to nothing." Yet, life teaches us that when their reign is over, it all begins again with a new group of princes.

As creatures created in the image of God, we yearn for salvation from and justice amid this type of squalor. Yet the honest among us will admit that we also secretly fear and grieve for the consequences that our own selfishness, pride, arrogance and sin have set loose on others, creating injustice and hardship for them. In those moments, and sometimes in moments years beyond our original transgressions, we pray for a do-over, a place to start afresh to relearn the truths that give life meaning and decency. We want and need forgiveness. The human heart struggles to reconcile justice, sin and forgiveness in our own lives. We know we deserve punishment for our sin against God and others and desire forgiveness for it. Sometimes we even find ways to punish ourselves. These feelings war within us, and if we don't deal directly with the pain of sin in our lives, we suffer consequences of it as one who runs up an unpayable bill eventually suffers the price of bankruptcy for his or her unrepentant profligacy.
The Apostle Paul describes the human condition and Jesus Christ's sacrifice for humanity this way:
"For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:6-8).
Easter's message addresses heart of this human condition. Christ pays sin's debt, substitutes death on the cross for our own penalty for sin, bears the weight of our injustices upon Himself, and then creates a new heart that desires to communicate with and love God and humanity.
Søren Kierkegaard's book, "The Sickness unto Death," meditates on the deep despair of being trapped in sin and God's answer to it in Christ. He succinctly states Christ's offer to all men and women who would take it:
"... this human being has an invitation to live on the most intimate footing with God! Furthermore, for this person's sake ... God comes to the world, lets Himself be born, suffers, dies; and this suffering God, He well-nigh begs and implores this human being to accept the help offered to him. . ."
Drawn by God, humility of spirit grows as sins are confessed and the help offered by Christ is taken. With this help, indeed, with this transformation of the spirit by God, the fear of judgment for the pain caused others and self judgment gives way to the joy of forgiveness, a changed life and the promise of our heavenly inheritance.
Jesus' physical resurrection on Easter morning, which Christians teach proves His claims to provide this salvation, preceded humanity's spiritual renewal. In faith we lay our sins, suffering and the cares of this world at the foot of the empty cross of the risen Savior. As a result we receive joy and new freedom from the corrupting influences in our own lives. And so the love of God heals the sinner who humbly confesses his or her sins, accepts help and trusts Christ in faith for what lies ahead on Earth and in heaven.
So salvation is complete: When the weight of all sin past, present and future was placed upon Christ at crucifixion, it died with Him. Those who are joined with Him will not encounter God's anger for their sins. Because they are forgiven by God, they can now also forgive themselves. Justice gives way to God's mercy. Sin is paid for and forgiveness is rooted in the unassailable goodness of Christ. We can now enter into God's boundless grace through every passage of life, until heaven welcomes us home. And hereafter, no matter what challenges life brings, our faith and trust will be firmly anchored in God – not in the princes of this world.

O Jesus, Who by reason of Thy burning love for us hast willed to be crucified and to shed Thy Most Precious Blood for the redemption and salvation of our souls, look down upon us here gathered together in remembrance of Thy most sorrowful Passion and Death, fully trusting in Thy mercy; cleanse us from sin by Thy grace, sanctify our toil, give unto us and unto all those who are dear to us our daily bread, sweeten our sufferings, bless our families, and to the nations so sorely afflicted, grant Thy peace, which is the only true peace, so that by obeying Thy commandments we may come at last to the glory of heaven. Amen.

Sometimes you just have to bust out for your team.

Yesterday, the Michigan State Spartans won a game they had no business winning. Because of Tom Izzo's success, MSU will never be considered and underdog. But when you lose your starting quarterback before a bowl game, few people expect you to win. The equivalent in basketball is to lose your point guard. Especially an upper classman. The fact that MSU has attained the Final Four of the NCAA once again, (6 times in 12 years) is not a tribute to the players MSU has recruited under the auspices of Coach Izzo, but the man himself. He doesn't recruit franchise players. He recruits the players with heart and well as the mind. Much like Bobby Knight. I had to place this little tribute to the Spartans. They really have been fun to watch.

Our Lady. Please intercede for us. We need you now.

Mary, our loving Mother, please hear us. We are in deep pain. We see the death that is enveloping this nation for the unborn, for the infirm, and the elderly. Innocent blood is being spilled all around us, and we feel helpless. We are assaulted from every side. Please give us strength. Help us know the power that comes from the love of your son. Help us know Jesus. Help us know his forgiveness. Let us know his righteous anger. He forgave Mary Magdelene. He turned out the moneychangers in the Temple. Give us the strength to protect his precious souls who have no one else to speak for them. Give us the strength to fight their entrenched enemies. In His name, our Mother, we ask thee. Amen.

Prayers for the Unborn

Considering what is about to happen today, I can't think of anything else to do. The actions of this Congress and this President will spill the blood of Innocents onto the hands of every American who "renders unto "Caesar". I don't know how this can be reconciled to God. I can only think that of all the things this Country has done wrong, this may be the worst.

A Prayer for Abortion Victims

Holy Mother of God and of the Church, our Lady of Guadalupe, you were chosen by the Father for the Son through the Holy Spirit. You are the Woman clothed with the sun who labors to give birth to Christ while Satan, the Red Dragon, waits to voraciously devour your child.

So too did Herod seek to destroy your Son, Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and massacred many innocent children in the process. So today does abortion killing many innocent unborn children and exploiting many mothers in its attack upon human life and upon the Church, the Body of Christ.

Mother of the Innocents, we praise God in you for His gifts to you of your Immaculate Conception, your freedom from actual sin; your fullness of grace, your Motherhood of God and the Church, your Perpetual Virginity and your Assumption in body and soul into heaven.

O Help of Christians, we beg you to protect all mothers of the unborn and the children within their wombs. We plead with you for your help to end the holocaust of abortion. Melt hearts so that life may be revered!

Holy Mother, we pray to your Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart for all mothers and all unborn children that they may have life here on earth and by the most Precious Blood shed by your Son that they may have eternal life with Him in heaven. We also pray to your Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart for all abortionists and all abortion supporters that they may be converted and accept your Son, Jesus Christ, as their Lord and Savior. Defend all of your children in the battle against Satan and all of the evil spirits in this present darkness.

We desire that the innocent unborn children who die without Baptism should be baptized and saved. We ask that you obtain this grace for them and repentance, reconciliation and pardon from God for their parents and their killers.

Let there be revealed, once more, in the history of the world the infinite power of merciful love. May it put an end to evil. May it transform consciences. May your Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart reveal for all the light of hope. May Christ the King reign over us, our families, cities, states, nations and the whole of humanity.

O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary, hear our pleas and accept this cry from our hearts!
Our Lady of Guadalupe, Protectress of the Unborn, Pray for us!

Our Lady of Guadalupe, we turn to you who are the protectress of unborn children and ask that you intercede for us, so that we may more firmly resolve to join you in protecting all human life. Let our prayers be united to your perpetual motherly intercession on behalf of those whose lives are threatened, be they in the womb of their mother, on the bed of infirmity, or in the latter years of their life. May our prayers also be coupled with peaceful action, which witnesses to the goodness and dignity of all human life, so that our firmness of purpose may give courage to those who are fearful and bring light to those who are blinded by sin. Encourage those who will be involved in the March for Life; help them to walk closely with God and to give voice to the cry of the oppressed, in order to remind our nation of its commitment to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all people. O Virgin Mother of God, present our petitions to your Son and ask Him to bless us with abundant life. Amen.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, in You we adore the eternal origin of all life.  Born of God the Father before all time, You were born of the Virgin Mary in time.  In Your humanity and Person You sanctified motherhood from the first instant of conception through all stages, for our salvation.  Recall all people to these divine blessings to appreciate the unborn as person and to enlighten every human being coming into this world.  In Your mercy avert Your just anger from the enemies of life, to allow God's infants to give Him glory and to be crowned with the heavenly life of grace.  From the cross You called, "Behold your Mother."  Amen

Loving God, I thank you for the gift of life you gave and continue to give to me and to all of us. Merciful God, I ask your pardon and forgiveness for my own failure and the failure of all people to respect and foster all forms of life in our universe. Gracious God, I pray that with your grace, I and all people will reverence, protect, and promote all life and that we will be especially sensitive to the life of the unborn, the abused, neglected, disabled, and the elderly.  I pray, too, that all who make decisions about life in any form will do so with wisdom, love, and courage.
Living God, I praise and glorify you as Father, Source of all life, as Son, Savior of our lives, and as Spirit, Sanctifier of our lives. Amen

Prayer for the Helpless Unborn

Heavenly Father, in Your love for us, protect against the wickedness of the devil, those helpless little ones to whom You have given the gift of life. Touch with pity the hearts of those women pregnant in our world today who are not thinking of motherhood.
Help them to see that the child they carry is made in Your image - as well as theirs  - made for eternnal life. Dispel their fear and selfishness and give them true womanly hearts to love their babies and give them birth and all the needed care that a mother alone can give.
We ask this through Jesus  Christ, Your  Son, Our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy  Spirit, one God, forever and ever,  Amen.

O heavenly Father, strengthen us against the mounting forces of anti-life; enlighten those who walk in this deadly way that they may see the enormity of their sin and return to the generous observance of the divine law. O Mary, bright dawn of the new world,
Mother of the living,
to you do we entrust the cause of life:

Pray: Lord, I offer these 3 Hail Mary's for an increase in Faith, Hope, and Love in all people so that all people will always choose life, and I also offer them in reparation for the suffering You endure each time an unborn babe is killed, each time someone is euthanized, each time death overcomes life in this world. Pray: Jesus, Source of Mercy; Mary Bearer of Mercy, on every "red" 'Hail Mary', I pray in reparation for the blood spilled from every baby wrenched from its mother's womb through abortion.  I know that even as you hold and comfort each of these precious little ones, the horror of their slaughter screams for justice to be meted out upon our world.  May these "red" 'Hail Mary's' be a source of reparation for our sin.  I also offer each "white/clear" 'Hail Mary' for the mothers and fathers of these aborted little ones, that they may receive the grace to repent of this sin, turn to Jesus, and receive the gift of salvation with open hearts.  Heal them of the emotional and psychological wounds that this sin has caused as you pour out the graces of conversion upon them.  Let them now witness for life! Pray:  Lord Jesus; Mother Mary, in this decade I offer reparation for all the sins of the medical personnel that act in the interest of death in our society and in our world.  I plead also for their conversion to your truth.  Let them see the truth of what they are doing, see the horror of it, rend their hearts in repentance, then work for Life and for You, Jesus, all the rest of their days. Pray: Lord Jesus, I thank You for your incarnation in our human flesh.  You were formed in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary.  Your humanity at the moment of your conception gives us, each and every one, humanity at the moment of your conception.  Had Satan had His way, You too would have been torn from your mother's womb, never to be born, and never to fulfill your destiny in the particular manner in which You did fulfill it.  On every "green" 'Hail Mary' I thank You for those who in any way work for life.  Give them continued courage, strength, peace of heart, and love.  Protect them from all evil and increase their witness in this nation and in this world.  Strengthen their families to understand the importance of their work and to support them in their stand for life.

Mother Mary, our mother, under the titles of Our Lady of Guadelupe, Mother of Perpetual Help, Queen of Peace, join us in our intercession for the end of all pro-death, pro-choice activities,  Crush the dead of evil in our nation, our world, and in our personal lives.  Roll back the crimson holocaust.  With every "cleary/white" 'Hail Mary' of this decade advance the cause of your Divine Son, Jesus, the Incarnate Word!  Stay the hand of Chastisement, and if it must fall - Protect your children. Prayer to End Abortion

Lord God, I thank You today for the gift of my life and for the lives of all my brothers and sisters. I know there is nothing that destroys more life than abortion, yet I rejoice that You have conquered death by the resurrection of Your Son. I am ready to do my part in ending abortion. Today I commit myself never to be silent, never to be passive, never to be forgetful of the unborn. Prayer for Aborted Babies

Heavenly Father, Thou hast given us the gift of freedom to love and to follow in Thy ways and commands. Some parents choose to abuse this freedom by destroying the gift of life which Thou hast given to their offspring. Please forgive those who destroy human life by aborting their unborn babies. Give these unborn children the opportunity to enjoy Thee for all eternity, if it according to Thy ordinance. Assist me in being one in solidarity with Thy little ones by taking to heart the words of Thy Son, "whatever you did for one of these least brothers of Mine, you did for Me." (Mt. 25:40) Therefore, allow me today, Father, to adopt spiritually an unborn child and to offer my prayers, works, joys and sufferings for that little one, so that child will be able to be born and live for Thy greater honor and glory. We pray this in Jesus' name, in union with the Holy Spirit one God forever and ever. Amen.
