Sometimes you just have to bust out for your team.
Yesterday, the Michigan State Spartans won a game they had no business winning. Because of Tom Izzo's success, MSU will never be considered and underdog. But when you lose your starting quarterback before a bowl game, few people expect you to win. The equivalent in basketball is to lose your point guard. Especially an upper classman. The fact that MSU has attained the Final Four of the NCAA once again, (6 times in 12 years) is not a tribute to the players MSU has recruited under the auspices of Coach Izzo, but the man himself. He doesn't recruit franchise players. He recruits the players with heart and well as the mind. Much like Bobby Knight. I had to place this little tribute to the Spartans. They really have been fun to watch.

Our Lady. Please intercede for us. We need you now.
Mary, our loving Mother, please hear us. We are in deep pain. We see the death that is enveloping this nation for the unborn, for the infirm, and the elderly. Innocent blood is being spilled all around us, and we feel helpless. We are assaulted from every side. Please give us strength. Help us know the power that comes from the love of your son. Help us know Jesus. Help us know his forgiveness. Let us know his righteous anger. He forgave Mary Magdelene. He turned out the moneychangers in the Temple. Give us the strength to protect his precious souls who have no one else to speak for them. Give us the strength to fight their entrenched enemies. In His name, our Mother, we ask thee. Amen.

Prayers for the Unborn
Considering what is about to happen today, I can't think of anything else to do. The actions of this Congress and this President will spill the blood of Innocents onto the hands of every American who "renders unto "Caesar". I don't know how this can be reconciled to God. I can only think that of all the things this Country has done wrong, this may be the worst.
A Prayer for Abortion Victims
Holy Mother of God and of the Church, our Lady of Guadalupe, you were chosen by the Father for the Son through the Holy Spirit. You are the Woman clothed with the sun who labors to give birth to Christ while Satan, the Red Dragon, waits to voraciously devour your child.
So too did Herod seek to destroy your Son, Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and massacred many innocent children in the process. So today does abortion killing many innocent unborn children and exploiting many mothers in its attack upon human life and upon the Church, the Body of Christ.
Mother of the Innocents, we praise God in you for His gifts to you of your Immaculate Conception, your freedom from actual sin; your fullness of grace, your Motherhood of God and the Church, your Perpetual Virginity and your Assumption in body and soul into heaven.
O Help of Christians, we beg you to protect all mothers of the unborn and the children within their wombs. We plead with you for your help to end the holocaust of abortion. Melt hearts so that life may be revered!
Holy Mother, we pray to your Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart for all mothers and all unborn children that they may have life here on earth and by the most Precious Blood shed by your Son that they may have eternal life with Him in heaven. We also pray to your Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart for all abortionists and all abortion supporters that they may be converted and accept your Son, Jesus Christ, as their Lord and Savior. Defend all of your children in the battle against Satan and all of the evil spirits in this present darkness.
We desire that the innocent unborn children who die without Baptism should be baptized and saved. We ask that you obtain this grace for them and repentance, reconciliation and pardon from God for their parents and their killers.
Let there be revealed, once more, in the history of the world the infinite power of merciful love. May it put an end to evil. May it transform consciences. May your Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart reveal for all the light of hope. May Christ the King reign over us, our families, cities, states, nations and the whole of humanity.

 Our Lady of Guadalupe, we turn to you who are the protectress of unborn children and ask that you intercede for us, so that we may more firmly resolve to join you in protecting all human life. Let our prayers be united to your perpetual motherly intercession on behalf of those whose lives are threatened, be they in the womb of their mother, on the bed of infirmity, or in the latter years of their life. See Dad? I told you Joe Biden is hilarious
Even Bullworth wasn't this stupid!
"God rest her soul," Biden said Wednesday night as he introduced Cowen and President Barack Obama. He quickly caught himself and noted that it's Cowen's father who is no longer living. Of the prime minister's mother, Biden said, "God bless her soul."
Biden then cited the Irish proverb that "a silent mouth is sweet to hear" and yielded the podium to the president.

Catholic Bishops urge Catholics to call congress NOW!
The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops sent a mandatory bulletin insert to all U.S. Catholic Churches. The subject was abortion as part of health care reform. The bulletin insert made it clear that health care reform as was passed in the Senate is NOT acceptable and will not be acceptable unless it contains similar or same non-funding language as found in the House bill.
