Ta Dah! My blog goes formal.

If you’re reading this you’re either a friend or relative, or acquainted with one or some of those. And that’s great. I don’t have any dreams of blogging world domination. In fact, I mainly started this blog because I was doing most of the things that bloggers do, just in an unorganized, haphazard way. Why not organize it and share it? Even if most of the people who’ll read it already feel the same way I do.

But this isn’t a blog designed just to rant to the choir. After I joined Twitter, (go ahead, titter), I found a bunch of wonderful voices. Voices of just “average” people who feel passionate about their country and the direction it has taken in the past few months. These voices are not “astroturf”, or “mobsters”, they’re the voices of hard working people who really care. Enough to take time out of their busy, “little person” day to collect good information, sometimes comment on it, then pass it along to others in hopes that people will think, and more importantly, act.

And they’re making a difference. If you doubt that, you weren’t in Washington for the Tea Party. Or you didn’t make it to one of the local tea parties. Or you haven’t seen the expose on ACORN. Or you missed Dan Rather dropping his pants over a faked memo on W’s military service. These people are making a difference. Without them, and of course, Rush, Glenn Beck, Savage and others, I truly believe we would already be in full-on Eurosytle socialism mode.

In my own little way, I want to be a part of that. Maybe so I don’t feel hopeless. Or like throwing one of our cats through the television. (Cat’s are liberals you know.) Maybe so I won’t grind my teeth at night. Whatever. I’m taking the plunge. And I hope you visit often. I promise it will be worth the effort. Even if you’re a liberal. No. That’s a lie. You’ll hate this page if you’re a liberal. But it will make you feel miserable and since that’s part of what makes you happy, perhaps in a sick, twisted way, this page will become an important part of your daily routine.

Anyway, here’s what I promise if you do visit. You’ll have quick access to some great bloggers who regularly scoop the State Run Media on very important news. You’ll be entertained by some hilarious comments on those stories by real people, not smarmy, suck ass liberal wanks like Jon Stewart or Bill Maher. And you’ll have fodder. For arguments, discussions and just plain verbal bludgeonings that are so easy and fun to do when you have liberal friends and family. Mostly, what I’ll try to do with this page over time is promote common sense. Hence the reason for the picture of Thomas Paine. Common Sense was instrumental in giving birth to this country. And common sense will ultimately save it.

Thanks for visiting. Stop back again soon. And if you have a chance, tell a liberal a funny joke. It will wreck their day.

One more thing. I just found this video of "Thomas Paine" and it's really well done. Thanks to Full Metal Patriot for posting on his blog.
